Basic Obedience/Good Manners Starter Class
~A one-time, two-hour class to start you on the
“Right Paw” with your puppy or adult dog~ (and/or as a training refresher!)
- Introductions, training wants and needs, and problem solving discussion
- We must always be “Kind, Calm, Confident Pack Leaders” and have a “Leadership Lifestyle” 24/7
- Basic Obedience and Good Manners Overview
- Training Equipment Discussion: We like best the Starmark Training Collar for most dogs, but small breed dogs and very young puppies may do fine with a nylon martingale collar. We like a 6′ nylon leash (no retractable “flexi” leash please), plus Bitter Spray, and quality treats! Please have the training equipment you like best that is “good quality, humane, and effective” when you come to class.

- “No Bark”
- “No Bites”
- “No Chew”
- “No Jump”
- “Sit-Stay”
- “Heel” and “Sit-Stay”- walking nicely on leash
- “Come” and “Sit-Stay”- coming when called
